Mrs. Ruby Joiner Wielgus, age 71, of Byron, Ga. passed away Saturday evening, August 8, 2009 at coliseum Medical Center, in Macon, following an extended illness Mrs. Wielgus, a native of Coffee County, Ga., retired after many years as Manager at the Dairy Queen. She was the daughter of the late Love Joiner and the late Virue Sears Joiner, and the wife of the late Jerry Wielgus, Sr. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: David Joiner, Roy Joiner, Albert Joiner, and Hiram Joiner. Survivors include: 3 Children: Mary Suhr, and Jerry Wielgus, Jr., both of Warner Robins, Ga.; and Deborah Wielgus of Byron, Ga. 2 Brothers: Herbert Joiner of Douglas, Ga.; and E. L. Joiner of Macon, Ga. 8 Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at 1:00 P. M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Rev. C. T. Peavey officiating. Internment followed in the Harrel Grove Cemetery. Musical Selections were rendered by Caryn Suhr who played a piano solo the rendition of “Ave Maria” and Suzie Baker who sang “Sweet Beulah Land” with CD taped music. Active Pallbearers were Michael Suhr, Darrin Joiner, Davy Joiner, Adam Wielgus, Jeff Joiner, Johnny Joiner, and Michael Joiner. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
