Mrs. Jimmie Lee Fussell Davis, age 87, of West Green passed away Monday evening, January 9, 2012, at the residence of her son, Charlie Davis, following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis, a native of Broxton, was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Jim Fussell and the late Dovie Lou Shrouder Fussell. Mrs. Davis was a member of the West Ward Street Church of God. Survivors include: Her Husband: John Wesley Davis of West Green, Ga., Children: Jimmy Bennett of Daytona Beach, Florida, Sammy Davis of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Shirley Faye Blair, and Charlie Davis, both of West Green, Ga. 17 Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 2:00 P. M., at the West Ward Street Church of God with Rev. Britt Peavy and Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating. The Interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Wesley Davis, Josh Davis, O'Shea Davis, Richard Meeks, David Perry, and Jon Baker. Special Musical Selections, "In The Garden", and "Blessed Assurance", were rendered by Scott and Amy Bryant, with Scott Bryant, at the Keyboard. "Pre-Lude" and "Post-Lude", soft hymns were rendered by Scott Bryant, at the Keyboard. At the Graveside, "Amazing Grace", was presented acappella by the sololist, Rev. Britt Peavy.
