Mrs. Mary “Jacquelyn” Horton, age 68, of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, in Beaufort, following an extended illness. Mrs. Horton, a native of McRae, Telfair County, Georgia, was a retired Teacher’s Assistant. She was the daughter of the late Dudley Morris Williams and the late Tallie Christine Marchant Williams, and the wife of the late Jimmy Horton. Mrs. Horton was a member of the Reedy Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: Children: Stan (Dawn) Smith, Jr. of Texas, Christy (Esau) Brown of Beaufort, South Carolina, Ginny Hulett of Douglas, Ga. 6 Grandchildren. 1 Great Grandchild. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 11:00 A. M., at the Reedy Branch Baptist Church, with Rev. Den Weniger officiating. The Interment followed in the Reedy Branch Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Kevin Gillespie, T. C. Griffin, Kyle Hyers, and Alvin L. Ricketson, Jr. A Special Musical Selection, “Amazing Grace”, was rendered by the Soloist, Rev. Den Weniger, at the Keyboard. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude”, soft hymns were presented by the Organist, Mrs. Evelyn Weniger.
