Mamie Lindsey Farrar, age 89, of Douglas GA passed away on Tuesday, June 02, 2009, at Summers Landing Retirement Home in Douglas GA. Mrs. Farrar a native of Atkinson County, Georgia was born November 08, 1919: she is the daughter of the late Henry & Lula Jones Lindsey & the widow of the late Arthur Cutis Farrar, Sr. Survivors include: Daughters, Dinah (Clarkie) Leverette, Ambrose GA, Susan (Pratt) Parrish, Raleigh NC, Son, Arthur Curtis (Annie) Farrar, Jr. Douglas GA. Grandchildren, Kirk Farrar, Brent Farrar, Lisa Leverette, Jason Parrish, & Arthur Parrish. Seven Great Grandchildren, Sisters-in-law, Linda Lindsey, Willacoochee GA, Catherine Lindsey, Madison GA & Ann Lindsey, Seattle WA,& Brother-in-law, Dan Fussell, Ambrose GA, Several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 04, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Burial in the Hebron Church Cemetery. The Late Mamie Lindsey Farrar made a special request In Lieu of Flowers, (Memorial in her Memory) made to the Douglas Parks & Recreation Fitness Department & to The Hope Center.
